How do I book a fast boat ticket to the Gili Islands?
Simply use the search box on our homepage. Select your departure point, destination, and travel dates, then click ‘Search’. You’ll see a list of available boats, departure times, and prices. Choose your preferred boat, click ‘Book’, and follow the checkout process. Your e-ticket will be sent to your email instantly.
Will I receive an e-ticket?
Yes. After your booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket attached. If you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder, and mark us as a safe sender.
What boat should I book?
Search results on our website will show various operators, prices, and times. Choose based on your preferred departure port (e.g., Padangbai, Sanur, Amed), and allow time for check-in and transfers. From South Bali to Padangbai usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Can I exchange foreign currency at the check-in location?
Yes, we offer withdrawal services at check-in for various digital payment platforms. You can exchange or withdraw funds via Wise, PayPal, Bitcoin, WeChat Pay, and other supported methods. Please ask our staff at the check-in counter for assistance and availability based on your preferred option.
Where should I check in?
Check-in is located in Padangbai, at Jl. Silayukti, as shown on the map. For complete details and the exact Google Maps location, please visit our Contact Us page.
What can I expect during check-in?
Upon check-in, you’ll be welcomed with a complimentary welcome drink of your choice (based on availability). You’ll then be asked to present your e-ticket, which you should have received via email. After verification, you will receive your boarding pass. Our friendly staff will guide you all the way from the check-in area to the pier and onto your selected boat.
Can I book a fast boat from Lombok to the Gili Islands?
Yes. Giligate also offers private charter services and scheduled fast boats between Lombok and the Gilis. We recommend booking in advance to ensure seat availability and a smooth experience.
Which boats go to Gili Air and Gili Meno?
Most fast boats listed on Giligate.com stop at Gili Air. For Gili Meno, only selected services operate. Alternatively, travelers can take a fast boat to Gili Trawangan and hire a local boat to Gili Meno (approx. 15 minutes).
What’s the best way to get from Lembongan to the Gilis?
Currently, no direct fast boat service connects Lembongan and the Gili Islands. We recommend returning to Bali (Sanur or Padangbai) first, then transferring to a Gili-bound fast boat from there.
How do I get from Bali to Gili Gede?
We offer limited services to Gili Gede via Serangan Harbour, typically on select days of the week. Private charters or fast boats to Lombok (Senggigi) followed by a land and boat transfer to Gili Gede are also available via our partner services.
I want to depart from Seminyak and return to Ubud. Is that possible?
Yes. Giligate provides private hotel transfers from most areas in South Bali (Seminyak, Sanur, Kuta, Jimbaran, etc.) and offers drop-offs to Ubud on your return trip. You can add these transfer details during the booking process.

Making a Booking
How can I make a booking?
You can book online 24/7 via Giligate.com. Fast boat bookings must be made at least 24 hours before departure. Just use the search bar at the top of the homepage to get started.
Do I pay a booking fee?
No. Giligate.com absorbs all payment processing fees. Full payment is required to secure your fast boat reservation, and it’s refundable according to our cancellation policy.
Is there a deadline for making a reservation?
You can book up to a year in advance. However, we recommend booking early to ensure availability.
What if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is delayed, please inform the boat company directly using the contact info on your e-ticket. While flexibility is often offered, changes are subject to availability and cancellation terms.
Reservation Confirmation
What happens after I make a reservation?
You will receive your e-tickets by email instantly. The boat operator will also receive your booking details and may follow up to confirm pick-up arrangements in Bali.
How long does it take to receive my booking confirmation?
Confirmation is instant. Your e-tickets will be emailed to you within 10 minutes of booking.
What if I don’t receive a confirmation email?
Please check your spam/junk folder. If you still don’t find it, email us at office@giligate.com with your booking details so we can assist you.
Changing or Cancelling a Booking
How do I change or cancel my booking?
You can easily manage your booking through the My Reservation page linked in the footer of our website.
✏️ Changes: You may change your travel dates up to 72 hours before departure, subject to seat availability on your new chosen date.
❌ Cancellations: If you wish to cancel, our cancellation policy applies. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.

Can I change my ticket dates?
Yes, at Giligate.com, you can change your booking up to 72 hours before departure, subject to availability. Simply go to the “My Reservation” section located in the footer of our website to request a change. If seats are available on your new preferred date, the change will be processed accordingly.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, our cancellation policies bellow:
Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to departure
Eligible for a full refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.Cancellations made between 14 days and 72 hours before departure
Eligible for a 50% refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee.Cancellations made less than 72 hours before departure or no-shows
No refund will be issued. The full ticket price will be charged.
Please note: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our customer service team. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 7 till 14 working days.

Do I pay Giligate or the boat company?
All fast boat payments are made through Giligate.com at the time of booking. Refunds (if eligible) are issued through our platform according to our policy.
What currency will I be charged in?
All payments are processed in Rupiah (IDR) or US Dollar (USD).
How do you calculate exchange rates?
We do not fix exchange rates, as they vary daily. Please check with your bank for up-to-date conversion rates.
Which cards are accepted?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, and most major credit and debit cards. You can also pay using PayPal, and for added flexibility, alternative payment methods like Wise, Bitcoin, WeChat Pay, Alipay, and other local payment options are available at our check-in location.

Are taxes included in the fare?
No, tax and service charges are not yet included in the advertised fare. A 5% service charge and 11% VAT (value-added tax) will be added during checkout, in accordance with Giligate’s policy and local government regulations.

Why do prices vary?
Prices depend on exchange rates and seat availability. They may change at any time but your confirmed booking price remains locked in.
Are there card processing fees?
No. Giligate does not charge extra fees for card payments.
Are there card processing fees at the check-in location via EDC machine?
Yes, a 3% processing fee applies to all transactions made using credit or debit cards via EDC machines at the check-in location.
We recommend preparing cash or using alternative payment methods to avoid this additional charge.
